The v0.4 version mainly brings :
-
AMF format support
The new gmio_amf module provides complete support for exporting geometry in the AMF v1.2 format |
Output can be plain XML or compressed on-the-fly in a ZIP archive. |
AMF format |

OpenCascade
Poly_Triangulation
seamless support for STL format
A Poly_Triangulation object can now be imported from a STL file(or stream) |
Such object can also can be exported to a STL file(or stream) |
Documentation |
-
OpenCascade
TopoDS_Shape
seamless support for STL solid import
A TopoDS_Shape object can now be imported from a STL file(or stream) |
The resulting object has no geometrical surface but only a Poly_Triangulation structure containing all the triangles |
Documentation |

WorkNC Automation v2.3 released
2014, february
Sescoi, one of the main CAD/CAM software providers,
outsources Fougue the entire development of its WorkNC Automation product.
The v2.3 version brings 22 bug fixes, 12 improvements and 11 new features.
Amongst new things, let us point out :
-
the new design of the Workshop panel
Important informations (machining progress, error count, ...) are now always visible |
Furthermore it is now possible to apply an operation once to many machines (ex : switch to automatic error handling mode) |
-
the new design of the Non-scheduled Jobs panel
The user sees the cause of the scheduling error in the Scheduling error column |
In the case where there are many jobs, it is now possible to filter them according new criteria |
For the selected job the user has access to the informations for the corresponding partial blank |
-
the new design of the loading of partial blanks
The dialog boxes for loading a partial blank have been revamped for the
bar-pusher and palletizer systems |
The new GUI are close to those in WorkNC-Dental by reusing the same filtering features as well as the display of partial blanks. |
Documentation of FougTools and Claudette
2013, september
The doxygen documentation of the libraries developed by Fougue is available online :
FougTools is a collection of C++ components and tools for Qt and OpenCascade
Claudette is a C++ 3D collision detection library
WorkNC Automation v2.2 released
2013, june
Sescoi, one of the main CAD/CAM software providers,
outsources Fougue the entire development of its WorkNC Automation product.
The v2.2 version brings 21 bug fixes, 7 improvements and 7 new features.
Amongst new things, let us point out :
-
support of pallets having many
positions (>10)
-
management of partial stocks (e.g. discs and cuboids)
-
ability to send back an ended project to the CAM software (i.e. WncDental)
-
manual restart of an error job is safer
-
complete support of Heidenhain NC (iTNC530) is working again
WorkNC Automation v2.1 released
2013, january
Sescoi, one of the main CAD/CAM software providers,
outsources Fougue the entire development of its WorkNC Automation product.
The new v2.1 version offers a more consistent GUI and mainly introduces automatic handling of NC errors.
Before v2.1, any NC error caused production to stop, and it couldn't be resumed until the error was resolved by the operator.
Automatic handling of NC errors avoids manual handling in case of error, improving productivity.
This brand new feature relies on a error/handling mapping: for a given NC error (eg. "tool breakage"), the operator can now define a handling script
allowing production to safely continue.
Claudette v0.1 released
2012, november
Claudette is a library forked from ColDet.
ColDet is a 3D collision detection library, it supports generic polyhedra, and even polygon soups.
Despite its efficiency and good reputation, ColDet seems to be no longer maintained by its author (Mr Amir Geva), building
with g++ 4 is by the way impossible without patchs.
Fougue decided to fork the project to keep it up to date :
-
Ensure source code builds with recent C/C++ compilers
-
Use GitHub as main infrastructure for the project
WorkNC Automation v2.0 released
2012, march
Sescoi, one of the main CAD/CAM software providers,
outsources Fougue the entire development of its new WorkNC Automation product.
WorkNC Automation is an innovative software that automates machining of dental prosthesis with high accuracy machines. Executed between the CAM software and the numerical controller (NC) of each milling machine, WorkNC Automation allows manufacturing to be fully automatic.
Main features :
-
Automatic allocation of machining jobs
-
Scheduling of a queue of machining jobs
-
Handling of user actions (unloading of finished parts, loading of stocks, ...)
-
Transfer and continuous execution of the ISO programs
-
Reporting and management of machinings (machining success/error, restart, ...)
Fougue becomes a Qt approver
2011, november
Since 2011 october, 21st development of Qt and QtCreator is governed as a true open source project (known as "Qt Project"). It allows anybody wanting to contribute to join the effort, through a meritocratic structure of approvers and maintainers.
Approvers are community members who have shown that they are committed to the Qt Project and its objectives, and perform an essential role safeguarding its long-term success.
As a regular contributor to Qt and especially QtCreator, Fougue was nominated as a Qt approver. Within Fougue, this role is delegated to its manager Mr Hugues Delorme ( nomination )
FougTools available on GitHub
2011, october
FougTools is a collection of C++ components and tools packaged into 3 libraries :
-
cpptools : utility classes and functions to fill some gaps of the C++ language and its standard library (STL)
-
qttools : is to Digia's Qt library what cpptools is to the C++ language with the STL
-
occtools : utility classes and functions to ease the use of Open Cascade
The source code of FougTools is released under the CeCILL-C v1.0 license (LGPL compatible).
Fougue received CIR approval
2011, september
The CIR (Crédit d'Impôts Recherche in french) is a french tax assistance allowing to finance the Reasearch and Development (R&D) contracted out to Research organizations. This tax reduction can cover 30%, 40%, 50% to 100% of your R&D costs.
As a R&D organization, Fougue recently received CIR approval from the french Minstry of Research. This approval allows our customers to benefit of tax abatements on the R&D you contracted out to Fougue.
